A heavyweight match in the AFC
Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season is delivering a heavyweight matchup on Sunday Night Football, with the Baltimore Ravens taking on the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills come into the game with a sterling 3-0 record and have dismantled their previous two opponents. The Ravens, meanwhile, are looking to get to .500 following an ugly 0-2 start to the season. This game should feature the Bills walking away with a win, but the Ravens are considered one of the NFL’s model franchises for a reason. This game could hinge on whether Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson are able to take the game over.
Chris’ pick: The Ravens are slim 2.5 point favorites at home, but the Bills have simply been the best team in the NFL over the first three weeks of the season. They’ve fielded a great offense as well as a defense that’s largely shut down their opponents. Granted, those opponents have been the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins (the game in which Tua Tagovailoa was injured), and the Jacksonville Jaguars. But they haven’t just taken care of business, they’ve exceeded expectations and outscored opponents 102 to 48.
The caveat here is that the Ravens have a dynamic rushing attack, as well as easily the best rush defense in the NFL. That could matter significantly if a team has to grind out a win with red zone touchdowns.
