Miami Dolphins Week 4 fan confidence ticks down as quarterback concerns remain
Our SB Nation Reacts Miami Dolphins fan confidence poll continues to reach record lows in Week 4.

The Miami Dolphins’ 2024 season has been anything except what was expected. Sitting at 1-2 on the season and preparing to start their third different quarterback of the year, Miami’s quest for a deep playoff run is looking like a distant dream early this season. How are fans feeling about the Dolphins as they prepare to face the Tennessee Titans on Monday night?
This week’s SB Nation Reacts poll is back, though it admittedly had some issues of its own this week. For some reason, the input code had the survey listed as closed upon publication. We updated and re-released the survey, running it into the weekend in order to get representative results.
Your thoughts on the Dolphins would seem to be fairly accurate at his point. We asked two questions for this week’s survey. The results, brought to us courtesy of FanDuel sportsbook, are below.
Miami Dolphins fan confidence
The good news is that the fan confidence poll results ticked down just one percentage point. The bad news is, there is barely any room for the results to get lower. We again set a new all-time low in the fan-confidence poll era of the site, with just 14 percent of the fans believing in the direction of the Dolphins in 2024.
That is one-percent lower than last week and a long drop from the 85 percent confident rating when the season started. How can Miami swing the fans back toward trusting the direction of the team?
Week 1: 85%
Week 2: 82%
Week 3: 15%
Week 14: 14%
Biggest area of concern
Knowing the fan base was likely to respond negatively to the confidence question, we also asked this week for where is your biggest concern for Miami. The result was nearly evenly split between the quarterback position, where starter Tua Tagovailoa is on injured reserve with a concussion, and backup quarterback Skylar Thompson struggled against the Seattle Seahawks last week before sustaining a ribs injury, and the offensive line, which has not been able to pass block effectively and is dealing with multiple injuries already this season.
The quarterback position received 43 percent of the vote, while the offensive line picked up 42 percent. Coaching was a distant third at 15 percent.
Miami is starting Tyler Huntley under center this week. Huntley will have been with Miami for just 13 days before he is asked to find some sort of rhythm with the offense. How will Week 4 playout for the Miami quarterback position?

The SB Nation Reacts poll over on the SB Nation’s team site for the Titans, Music City Miracles, also ran their fan confidence poll. While most of the fans are not happy with the direction of the Titans, they are much more confident than Miami. Forty-five percent of the Titans fans think the team is headed in the right direction.
Tennessee started Miami’s slide last year, ultimately leading to the Dolphins’ loss of their lead in the AFC East and costing them a home playoff game. Instead, Miami had to travel to Kansas City, where they lost in one of the coldest games in NFL history.
Music City Miracles also asked their fans what the biggest issue for the team’s offense has been. The results clearly focused on the offensive line, with 69 percent of the fans selecting that option. Quarterback Will Levis was second in the poll, with 26 percent of the vote. Can Miami take advantage of a struggling offensive line and get pressure on Levis?
