The Miami Dolphins are adding another veteran player in the NFL’s 2026 free agency period. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Miami has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with wide receiver Tutu Atwell.
Who is Tutu Atwell?
A Miami native who attended Miami Northwestern High School, Atwell played college football at Louisville. He was selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, joining the Los Angeles Rams.
He has spent all five years with the Rams, appearing in 64 games with 27 starts over that span. He has caught 105 passes for 1,535 yards with five touchdowns.
Coming off the 2024 season, when he set career highs in receptions with 42 and yards with 562, Atwell signed a one-year, $10 million contract with the Rams. He was limited to just 10 games played last year, catching six passes for 192 yards and a touchdown.
Atwell will turn 27 during the season.
What are the contract details?
As with most of the contracts the Dolphins are signing this year, the deal with Atwell is a one-year contract. No compensation was reported.
