NY Giants news: New York adds to OL depth with OG Aaron Stinnie signing

The New York Giants quietly made a series of moves between Wednesday and Thursday to add to their depth, per reports.

Most notably, they brought back veteran backup guard Aaron Stinnie, who has served as depth over the last two seasons. Stinnie, 32, is a respected vet and regarded as a solid presence in the locker room. He’s been active for 64 games over the course of his seven-year career with the Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Giants.

Stinnie helps provide depth to a very thin guard spot for the Giants and helps add reassurance as they look for solutions at the top of the depth chart.

The Giants have also tendered wide receiver Ryan Miller and cornerback Nic Jones.

Miller is a 26-year old, 6-foot-2, 221-pound receiver who was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Furman following the 2023 NFL draft. He’s appeared in 25 games over the last three years, starting six for the Buccaneers with 14 receptions for 162 yards and three touchdowns. The Giants claimed him off of waivers in December of 2025, but he did not appear in a game for them.

Jones, 24, was a former seventh-round pick (250th overall) for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Giants signed Jones to a futures contract following the 2025 season and the 6-foot, 190-pound corner appeared in 13 games last year. He was primarily a special teams player, with 191 special teams snaps to just 20 defensive snaps last year. Jones ended the season on the injured reserve with a shoulder injury.

Jones and Miller were linked, as the Giants claiming Miller came as a corresponding move to Jones going on the injured reserve.

It makes sense that the John Harbaugh Giants would tender both Jones and Miller, as each was a core special teams player — Jones last year for the Giants and Miller for the Buccaneers.
