The NFL’s legal tampering window opened today, and teams around the National Football League have taken advantage of their ability to negotiate contracts with incoming free agents. Ahead of the tampering period, the Los Angeles Chargers — with new offensive coordinator, ex-Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel — signed former Dolphins fullback Alec Ingold to a deal. On Monday night, another former Miami player joined Ingold on the Chargers’ roster.

Offensive lineman Cole Strange has reportedly agreed to a deal with Los Angeles, reuniting him with McDaniel on the West Coast. The deal is for a whopping $13 million over two years.

Strange — soon-to-be 28 years old this July — played just one season with the Dolphins, signing with the club on September 9th of last year. He appeared in 14 games, starting all of them while projected starting right guard James Daniels missed all but three snaps in 2025.

Originally a first round pick of the New England Patriots in the late stages of the 2022 NFL Draft, Strange is now on his third team in five seasons.

We will continue to keep you updated with all things Miami Dolphins as the team continues to embark on their latest rebuild attempt.
