The run of New York Giants free agents to be poached by the Tennessee Titans now stands at four, as the Titans have agreed to terms with center Austin Schlottmann, per a report from Tom Pelissero.
Schlottmann has been the Giants’ backup center for the last two years after signing a two-year contract in 2024. While he missed much of that season after being placed on the injured reserve in late August, Schlottmann impressed when asked to step in for John Michael Schmitz in 2025.
Schlottmann joins Wan’Dale Robinson, Daniel Bellinger, and Cor’Dale Flott in following former head coach Brian Daboll to Nashville. The Giants will now have to find a new answer to bolster their depth on the interior, though veteran Greg Van Roten could be a good option.
Van Roten has filled in at center before, and could also provide depth at guard as the Giants look to improve the right guard position. The team could also look to draft a developmental center on Day 3, as the upcoming draft class looks far deeper on the offensive interior than at offensive tackle.
