The Los Angeles Rams have reportedly extended Kamren Curl in what has been an active week for the Rams. After trading for Trent McDuffie, they now extend their safety after fairly recently extending Quentin Lake.
This team’s secondary is shaping up nicely on paper. What other moves may this team have in store? It’s anyone’s guess, but this team certainly isn’t done yet. They still have a first-round pick, they have some cap space, and they have other internal stars to consider locking up via contract, and plenty of free agents to consider who could make the team better for a run in 2026.
It’s Friday. Pat yourself on the back, we made it.

Instant analysis of Rams re-signing Kam Curl: Why it’s a big deal for LA (ramswire)
“In a span of three-plus months, though, the Rams have signed two of the better safeties to come through the organization in the last decade. On Friday morning, the Rams agreed to a three-year deal with Kamren Curl, paying him a base value of $36 million, with a max value of $39 million.
That deal came just a few months after paying Lake a similar contract, giving him a total of $42 million for three years.“
Rams Might Not be Done at the Cornerback Position (si.com)
“The Los Angeles Rams once again surprised all the NFL teams and got the NFL world going earlier this week. The Rams traded for one of the top cornerbacks in the National Football League. The Rams went out and traded for cornerback Trent McDuffie.
McDuffie has been with the Kansas City Chiefs since the start of his NFL career. McDuffie has been a great cornerback for the last few seasons. Some say that McDuffie is the best at his respective position since getting drafted in the first round in 2022.“
5 dream free agents for the Rams, including Alec Pierce (ramswire)
“With free agency beginning on Monday, here’s a look at five dream free agents for the Rams. Los Angeles may not be likely to sign any of these players, but stranger things have happened.
WR Alec Pierce, Colts
This would be the splashiest move the Rams could make in free agency. Pierce is the top wide receiver on the market after George Pickens was tagged, and he’s entering the prime of his career.“
“What’s refreshing about the Rams is nothing that everyone didn’t see in the championship game. They have a secondary weakness and Snead has started to improve it. Whether McDuffie who didn’t make the pro bowl in 2025 returns to form will remain to be seen this year. He will probably get a huge contract and it will probably cost the Rams some other needed extensions over the next couple years. This does seem like a start to the all in approach to a home Super Bowl game. Anything less after this start will be a failure. They have a plan and it can’t stop with getting McDuffie” -ricker
