Brown’s 2024 season has come to an end.
The Cincinnati Bengals have placed offensive tackle Trent Brown on the injured reserve list, the team announced Saturday.
Brown, a 10th-year player, suffered a right knee injury in Monday’s game against Washington.
Brown tore his patellar tendon during the Bengals’ Week 3 loss to the Washington Commanders. That’s an injury that requires season-ending surgery, so Brown’s 2024 season has come to an end.
With Brown now out, the Bengals will rely heavily on first-round NFL Draft pick Amarius Mims to handle the right tackle spot.
The Bengals have yet to fill Brown’s spot on the 53-man roster. That’s likely due to Myles Murphy and McKinnley Jackson becoming eligible to come off IR next week. Look for one of them to potentially fill the roster spot.
If not that, then look for the Bengals to add another offensive tackle. There’s only two true tackles on the 53-man roster right now in Mims and Orlando Brown.
