There’s never really dull moment in the NFL, but I’ll play devil’s advocate to myself by saying that right now is a bit of a dull moment in the NFL (no complaints from me), so a big talking point at this time is speculating on which teams will target who in free agency, and of course who will be picked where in the draft.
Speaking of free agency, are there any NFC West players and talents that you may want to see the Los Angeles Rams pursue?
It’s all speculation at this point, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take an educated guess!
Who do I think the Rams should add? I don’t know. I thought they had the players to win it all last year, and they failed, so I don’t know what’s next. Lock up your stars and add to the defense? Seems pretty simple, but I guess that’s the move.
Am I over that NFC Championship loss? No, it’s really bothered me, and I had no control over it. It’s not healthy. I’ll talk to a therapist about it.
Enough about me and my woes, thank you for checking out Turf Show Times! Happy almost Friday!
We’ll get there, we’ll get there.
One Free Agent Rams Could Steal From Each NFC West Rival (si.com)
“The Los Angeles Rams are set to have a busy offseason as they look to extend key players on their roster over the summer while adding upgrades and much-needed depth at positions of need. General manager Les Snead will have plenty of money and draft capital to utilize to improve the talent level and foundation of his roster as the Rams look to make a significant push for Super Bowl LXI.
As the Rams head into free agency, they have already begun making moves, extending backup David Quessenberry to a one-year contract. Snead won’t be done there, but free agency will be paramount to improving the cornerback room, adding speed at wide receiver, depth along the offensive line, and safety, as Kam Curl could decide to enter free agency this offseason.“
ESPN links Rams to top free agent corner after secondary gets exposed (sports.yahoo.com)
“The Rams’ lack of speed in the secondary — which showed up in their NFC Championship Game loss to the Seahawks — must be addressed this offseason,” Bowen writes. “Taylor, who had two interceptions with the Saints in 2025, would provide the Rams a versatile cover corner with disruptive traits and the ability to play outside or in the slot. Chicago and Las Vegas are good fits, as well.”
Rams make first signing of offseason, bring back veteran OT (ramswire)
“The Los Angeles Rams have made their first signing of the offseason (Robert Woods’ one-day deal excluded), and it might not be the one you’d expect. The team announced on Wednesday that it has re-signed veteran offensive tackle David Quessenberry to a one-year deal.
Quessenberry was set to become a free agent in March but the Rams got him under contract before his deal could expire. They inked Quessenberry to a one-year deal last offseason after Alaric Jackson was diagnosed with blood clots, and he served as a backup offensive tackle all season.“
“Hey Danny, I’ve got a request and I’m not sure where to go on this site for suggestions.
I’d love an article about the philosophical differences between these 2 options.–
1st Option–pay for veteran WRs and draft inexpensive CBs.
2nd Option–pay for CB vets and draft WRs for the cheap 4 year contract.
What brings more value to the team? I’d guess WRs so drafting them ala Puka’s success.
Or does having a shut down secondary (Seattle) bring the team more success?“ -ram’68
