One potential 2026 salary-cap cut for every NFL team: Joe Mixon, Kirk Cousins and more | The Athletic
New York Giants: LB Bobby Okereke. The Giants have some obvious cuts (RB Devin Singletary, OL James Hudson and K Graham Gano) to create much-needed cap space. Okereke will be the biggest cap decision. The Giants can create $9 million in cap savings while eating $5.5 million in dead money if they cut him this offseason. A captain during each of his three seasons in New York, Okereke plays every snap as the leader of the defense. But the 29-year-old’s performance has declined, so the savings from cutting him could be spent on an upgrade. A decision will come before a $3 million roster bonus is due on March 13.

Best Team Fit, Projected Contract for the Top 2026 NFL Free Agent at Every Position | Bleacher Report
OL: Tyler Linderbaum Best Fit: New York Giants. Projected Contract: Four years, $79 million. Only 25 years old and coming off three consecutive Pro Bowl campaigns, the Baltimore Ravens center won’t be cheap. Fellow centers Creed Humphrey and Cam Jurgens both signed deals worth more than $17 million per year in recent seasons and that will likely be the starting point in Linderbaum’s contract negotiations.
While Linderbaum broke out as a star center in Charm City, he could almost guarantee he’ll continue his run of success by signing with the New York Giants this offseason. With John Harbaugh joining the G-Men following his dismissal from the Ravens, Linderbaum may want to follow the head coach who drafted him No. 25 overall in 2022 to the Big Apple. Linderbaum represents a massive upgrade in Big Blue’s offensive trenches. Adding him to an offense that already includes several rising stars in Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo could push the Giants to new heights and help open the Harbaugh era with a postseason appearance.
Ranking the Top 50 NFL Free Agents of 2026 | The Ringer
38 Wide Receiver. Wan’Dale Robinson. Robinson isn’t a contested-catch threat and his YAC numbers are middling at best, but he’s a quick separator who can win in high-leverage moments down the field. Even if teams view him as a slot-only receiver, Robinson should have a market in the $12 million to $18 million range. Best fit: Pittsburgh Steelers
No. 5: Giants – WR Carnell Tate, Ohio State. Pick from Mock 1.0: S Caleb Downs, Ohio State. There are several directions the Giants can go here, and part of me still believes the pick could be Downs. Questions about Darius Slayton’s consistency, Malik Nabers’ health, and Wan’Dale Robinson’s pending free agency make receiver a significant concern for the Giants entering the offseason. The Giants have their quarterback in Jaxson Dart, now they must surround him with talent. Tate, the top wide receiver in the class, would go a long way toward accomplishing that.
2026 Three-Round NFL Mock Draft | PFF
5. New York Giants: LB Sonny Styles, Ohio State. While I agree with the recent declaration from multiple draft analysts that Ohio State’s Arvell Reese is a better prospect as a linebacker than an edge defender, I think his teammate is the best linebacker in this draft class. Styles’ grading profile is similar to that of San Francisco 49ers star linebacker Fred Warner from his BYU days, and he could easily be a decade-long NFL starter.
37. New York Giants: CB Colton Hood, Tennessee
Will 2026 MVP race include any viable longshots? | CBSSports.com
Jaxson Dart (+4500): Hat tip to SportsLine lead NFL analyst R.J. White for this suggestion. He believes the second-year dual-threat quarterback will be a popular choice among MVP longshot bettors given his chance to excel under new coach John Harbaugh and the potential for big numbers as the Giants attempt to make a major step forward in a vulnerable NFC East.
