The Raiders are expected to hire Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak on Monday, following Sunday’s Super Bowl. Kubiak is expected to bring a plethora of staff members with him from Seattle to Las Vegas, and ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler outlined three names for the Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator role. A report also surfaced earlier this week surrounding former Packers QB Coach, and current Eagles offensive coordinator, Sean Mannion indicating that the Raiders, and Kubiak, would’ve had interest. Mannion and Kubiak are close, with the former quarterback playing under both Klint and his father during his nine year NFL career. Mannion would bring a similar style of offense as Kubiak, focusing on the wide zone systems similar to Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay.
Fowler indicated Seahawks QB coach Andrew Janocko as the Raiders potential offensive coordinator under head coach Klint Kubiak. Janocko spent time with Kubiak in Minnesota, New Orleans, and now Seattle and the 37 year old has been tabbed as one of the fastest rising assistants to watch in the NFL. Janocko spent time with the Vikings as a quality control coach, assistant OL coach, wide receivers coach, and quarterbacks coach from 2015 till 2021. In 2022 he was hired as the Bears QB coach where he was till 2023 overseeing Justin Fields and Tyson Bagent, before heading to New Orleans in 2024 to coach Derek Carr and Spencer Rattler. Janocko has seen the majority of his success in Seattle, though he oversaw veteran Kirk Cousins in 2020 as well where Cousins tossed 4265 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions with a 105.0 QBR. Janocko is viewed as the top name to watch for the Raiders offensive coordinator position, though Seattle has interest in keeping Janocko on as their offensive coordinator as well.
The other names tabbed as candidates to watch for Las Vegas include Seahawks runningbacks coach Justin Outten and pass game coordinator Jake Peetz. Outten spent time with Kubiak during the 2022 season with the Denver Broncos, and after spending 2023 and 2024 with the Titans as their RB coach and TE coach, he joined Kubiak again in Seattle for 2025. Originally the assistant OL coach and run game coordinator, Outten took over after Kennedy Polamolu’s leave of absence at midseason. After taking over, Outten’s unit was the 7th most efficient rushing game and 4th in yard/game from week 11 on. Additionally, the unit has seen success in the post season following the loss of Zach Charbonnet to a torn ACL. Outten has been pivotal for the Seahawks run game approach with Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet, while also having a key aspect for their run concepts involving Rashid Shaheed and Sam Darnold. Outten previously spent one season as the Broncos OC in 2022 where the unit ranked 32nd.
Lastly, Peetz was tabbed as a top name to watch for the Seahawks OC job following the departure of Kubiak, but has also remained a candidate for Las Vegas as well. The 40 year worked for the Raiders in 2015-2017 as the teams quarterback coach before taking a job with Alabama in 2018 and jumping back into the NFL in 2019 with the Panthers. Peetz has jumped around between different position groups working as a RB coach, QB coach, and the LSU OC in 2021, before landing back in Seattle for the 2024 season. In his sole season as the LSU OC, the team ranked 80th in points/game, 90th in yards/game, 114th in rush yards/game, and 45th in pass yards/game. The Tigers offense featured Malik Nabers, Trey Palmer, Jack Bech, Brian Thomas Jr, Kayshon Boutte, and Tyrion Davis-Price. With the Raiders, Derek Carr completed 66% of his attempts for 7454 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions with a 90.3 QBR and 10-21 record. Peetz has been pivotal in the Seahawks designed passing concepts this season implementing parts of Sean McVay’s offensive strategies focusing on a RAC heavy offense. Peetz has been the lead candidate for Seattle following the departure of Kubiak.
