Hope and confidence was restored to the New York Giants fanbase when the team hired John Harbaugh to be their new head coach.
Fans are cautiously optimistic regarding the newly hired coordinators and excited for the future with Jaxson Dart.
That confidence, however, doesn’t extend to the oddsmakers in Las Vegas. Vegas has set the Giants’ opening odds to make Superbowl 61 at +7500 in the immediate aftermath of Super Bowl LX, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Giants’ odds rank 24th out of the 32 teams, sitting just between the Minnesota Vikings (+5500) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (+10000). The Giants have the worst odds in the NFC East, behind the Philadelphia Eagles (8th, +1500), Dallas Cowboys (18th, +3000), and the Washington Commanders (20th, +4500). That, of course, presupposes that the Giants don’t make leaps with new coaching or that the turmoil the other teams in the NFC East seem to be undergoing.
It might be worth locking in early, as the Giants could be the team to make the “worst to first” leap in 2026. It’s entirely possible that their defense plays up to the expectations set prior to 2025 under Dennard Wilson while, Jaxson Dart takes steps with a full offseason under John Harbaugh and Matt Nagy.
