Mobile, Alabama-The Las Vegas Raiders are still in search of their head coach, but the team sent its scouts to Mobile, Alabama, this week. The Senior Bowl practices began Tuesday, marking the start of draft season as players attempt to impress scouts.
The Senior Bowl has always been a place where players can raise their stock, make money, and move themselves higher up draft boards. On Wednesday, it wasn’t any different, with draft prospects putting on standout performances.
Jacob Rodriguez, LB Texas Tech
Jacob Rodriguez is one of the most well-known players in Mobile, thanks to his terrific 2025 season. He was fifth in Heisman Voting with seven forced fumbles and four interceptions. He showed out on Day 2 of the Senior Bowl.
During team sessions, Rodriguez displayed his knack for making plays. First, he forced a fumble on a passing play with his savvy punch technique. He followed that play up with an interception to end practice, showing off his skills as a playmaker. Rodriguez might have jumped into Day 2 with his performance on Wednesday.
Nadame Tucker, Edge Western Michigan
A player who came into this week unknown was Nadame Tucker. Tucker did not play much at Houston but had 14.5 sacks his senior season at WMU. His talent as a pass rusher has shown itself on the practice field in Mobile.
Tucker is consistently in the backfield; he would have multiple sacks if he were allowed to hit the quarterback. He has a quick first step and a good pass-rush plan that helps him win on the outside. Tucker is going to force scouts to check the tape and see what they are missing.
Kevin Coleman, WR Missouri
The slot receiver has become a premier position in the modern NFL, and Kevin Coleman fits the bill. The slot receiver out of Missouri has been consistently open the last two days, making a name for himself at the Senior Bowl.
Coleman hasn’t lost a one-on-one rep in two days and shines during team sessions. He has a lot of suddenness to his route running and knows how to use his quickness to win consistently. He even displayed the ability to stack receivers on deep routes, having a great catch over his shoulder. He is rising on the draft boards this week with his steady performance.
