What Giants defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson brings to John Harbaugh’s growing staff | The Athletic
Wilson has a diverse background to draw on, as he worked under Macdonald, Jonathan Gannon, Todd Bowles and Gregg Williams as a position coach. Wilson’s one season with Macdonald seems to have made a strong impression, as Wilson’s tendencies in Tennessee were similar to what Macdonald has done in Seattle.
“He has a big-picture mind,” said Williams, who was the Rams’ defensive coordinator when Wilson was hired as a quality control coach in 2012. “I believed from Day 1 (that he could be a DC). He has a very good coaching style as far as involving everyone, but he also understands the importance of drawing a line in the sand and that there are certain things that aren’t negotiable. And what is not negotiable is your effort and your toughness inside the white lines.”
The evolutionary example the Giants believe John Harbaugh can follow | New York Post
John Harbaugh was getting fairly wound up as he got deep into an analysis of how he has changed as a head coach. He was at one place (Baltimore) for an incredibly long time (18 years) and now he is in his early days with the Giants.
One team fired him and another was ravenous in its zeal to hire him.
NFL coaching hire grades for every team involved in 2026 cycle | SB Nation
New York Giants: John Harbaugh. When the initial job vacancies were listed, the Giants’ job was one of our favorites on the open market. Only when the Ravens parted ways with Harbaugh was New York pushed down the list. And when the Ravens parted ways with Harbaugh, it made him one of the more attractive candidates on the open market.
To us, this looks like a perfect pairing. More than anything else, the Giants need stability at the head coaching position. Since Tom Coughlin’s last season, the 2015 campaign, New York has cycled through four different head coaching options. Harbaugh will be the fifth. Giants fans are not hoping to see a sixth anytime soon. Grade: A
Predicting the Landing Spot for the Top 2026 NFL Free Agent at Every Position | Bleacher Report
OL: Tyler Linderbaum. Predicted Landing Spot: New York Giants. Linderbaum has developed into one of the NFL’s finest offensive linemen over his first four seasons in the league. With Linderbaum allowing just two sacks over the past three seasons combined, it’s clear he’s not only the top available offensive linemen but also one of the best overall free agents up for grabs this offseason. Big Blue needs to overhaul an offensive line that allowed 48 sacks and struggled to protect rookie signal-caller Jaxson Dart. Adding Linderbaum on a long-term deal would solidify the unit and give the franchise an anchor to build around in the offensive trenches for years to come.
Early 2026 breakout candidates for every NFL team | PFF
New York Giants: QB Jaxson Dart. Dart was certainly in the spotlight during his rookie season, and he earned a respectable 68.4 PFF overall grade with an injury-ravaged supporting cast. Star wide receiver Malik Nabers suffered a season-ending injury in Dart’s first start. Running back Cam Skattebo suffered his own season-ending injury in Week 8. Left tackle Andrew Thomas also missed four games. Armed with a healthier supporting cast and a new coaching staff, Dart has a chance to improve significantly in 2026.
Cris Carter: Harbaugh chose Giants because they are ready to win
The decision drew criticism from Giants offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, who pointed out that his teammate, left tackle Andrew Thomas, hasn’t been named to a Pro Bowl in his six years of play.
“No hate but the Pro Bowl a joke lol,” Eluemunor wrote on X. “AT Top LT in the NFL hasn’t made one yet but if you’re popular you get in. Laughable at this point…Like I said no hate but how’s Cam Ward not the replacement? Lol both him and [Jaxson Dart] went off this season”
