A timeline of Brian Daboll events as they relate to the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive coordinator search:
- January 14, 2026 — Daboll and Mike McDaniel are said to be the two names at the top of the Eagles’ OC list.
- January 18, 2026 — Daboll is expected to interview with the Eagles.
- January 20, 2026 — Daboll interviews with the Eagles.
- January 21, 2026 — Daboll is expected to become the new Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator if he doesn’t land the Buffalo Bills head coaching job.
- January 23, 2026 — Daboll is said to be still in the mix for the Eagles.
- January 27, 2026 — Daboll is ruled out of the Bills’ head coaching search with Buffalo promoting Joe Brady.
This brings us to today’s latest news, which comes from The Athletic: Daboll is expected to choose the Titans over the Eagles if he doesn’t get the Las Vegas Raiders head coaching job.
More confirmation from ESPN:
Daboll was one of the most experienced and established play-callers available to the Eagles … but he wasn’t necessarily a slam dunk hire. Still, the optics of him seemingly turning down the Eagles to work with the Titans instead aren’t great.
In any case, the Eagles need a new offensive coordinator as their search to replace Kevin Patullo (who still remains employed by the team) continues.
Here are the remaining known candidates:
- Former Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith
- Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard
- Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter
- Former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy
- Houston Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson
- Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion
