The Giants lose their star rookie receiver
New York Giants star rookie receiver Malik Nabers suffered a concussion late against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football.
He left the field late in the fourth quarter and was announced out with a concussion as the Giants attempted a last-ditch effort for a comeback win.
Nabers was injured trying to make a difficult catch on 4th and 6 with 3:30 remaining in the game. The pass from a scrambling Daniel Jones led Nabers out of bounds, and the rookie was ultimately unable to hang on to the ball while getting his toes down for a driving catch. He landed hard, compounded by a Cowboys’ defender hitting him hard as he fell.
The rookie will now enter the concussion protocol, while the Giants have a 10 day break until they face the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle. The question now is whether Nabers will clear the protocol in time to travel with the team.
