After the Eagles lost to the 49ers, head coach Nick Sirianni was asked about the performance of Offensive Coordinator Kevin Patullo, and he only noted that there would be time to evaluate everyone. It shouldn’t take long for the organization to consider moving on from Patullo given the long list of offensive struggles this season, and reports are already popping up about his future with the team.
Insider Adam Schefter spoke about the situation on ESPN’s “Get Up” on Monday, and reported the Eagles are looking at everybody, including assistants, and are expected to make significant changes to the offensive coaching staff.
“When you speak to people around the league, they expect there to be mass changes there to jump start the offense. So, you’re looking at a new offensive coordinator next year, that’s the expectation there across the league, and then we’ll see how they decide to handle the roster.”
Schefter went even further, doubling down that the Eagles will be looking for a new OC, and said it’s just a matter of when those changes take place — whether it’s on Monday or Tuesday.
Sirianni and Howie Roseman are expected to speak to reporters this week, but it’s not on the schedule yet, so it could be something that is done after all decisions are made.
