While the 2025 season didn’t go as many Dolphins players, coaches and fans would have liked, the team still had members of the organization worthy of recognition in the form of the team awards. On Wednesday, Miami announced the winners of those awards.

Dan Marino Most Valuable Player

De’Von Achane

Miami’s electric third-year running back De’Von Achane unsurprisingly took home the team’s MVP award for his stellar 2025 campaign. Through 16 games, the 24-year-old has 1,350 yards rushing at 5.8 yards per tote. He has scored 8 rushing touchdowns. Achane is also one of the most prolific pass catching backs in the league — amassing 67 receptions for 488 yards and 4 touchdowns through the air. He was also named to his first Pro Bowl.

Don Shula Leadership Award

Jordyn Brooks

Jordyn Brooks was named the team’s strongest leader both on and off the field, an award that is voted on by Dolphins players. Since Week 4, Brooks has led the NFL in total tackles. He currently leads Devin White of the Las Vegas Raiders by five tackles heading into the final week of the regular season. In addition to his staggering tackle numbers (174), Brooks also has 13 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and 3.5 sacks.

Ed Block Courage Award

Cameron Goode

Selected by Miami’s training staff, the Ed Block Courage Award is given to the Dolphins player who demonstrates the most professionalism, courage and inspiration, while also serving as a role model in the South Florida Community. After suffering a devastating knee injury in late 2023, Goode was sidelined for most of the 2024 season. In 2025, Goode has contributed six tackles, one pass defensed and has been a solid contributor on special teams.

Julian Hill

The Nat Moore Community Service Award is given to the Dolphins player who exhibits exemplary commitment to serving the South Florida community. Tight end Julian Hill has spent countless hours dedicating his energy and resources to youth mentorship, development and foster care advocacy. Miami’s tight end went through the foster care system himself as a youth, so he makes sure to make time to visit His House Children’s Home, a nonprofit organization based in Miami Gardens dedicated to housing and caring for more than 200 children facing abandonment, abuse or neglect. Hill even helped to fund a new gym for the facility in addition to surprising the kids with holiday gifts and meals.
