Here is a look at how the Las Vegas Raiders’ rookie class fared in a 34-10 home loss to the New York Giants on Sunday and looking ahead to Week 18’s season finale at home game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ashton Jeanty:
A week after one of his best games on the ground, the No. 6 overall pick struggled to produce again. Jeanty had 60 yards on 16 carries. A garbage-time 24-yard run help bolster his poor numbers. Jeanty averaged 3.8 yards a carry and has averaged more than four yards a carry in just three games. He had two catches and had has three total in the past two games after having, at least, four catches in four of the previous five games.
Jack Bech:
The second-round pick was inactive due to a back injury.
Darien Porter:
The third-round pick played most of the snaps for the fourth straight week. Porter had a pass defensed, his first in three games, the only time he was targeted. It was a nice bounce-back game from a rough couple of weeks
Caleb Rogers:
The third-round pick played in his fifth straight game.
Charles Grant:
He played a season-high seven snaps in a jumbo package. he has played 15 snaps in four games. There’s no reason why he shouldn’t play the entire game Sunday.
Dont’e Thornton:
The wide receiver, taken in the fourth round, played 78 percent of the snaps with Bech out. It was his third highest snap percentage of the season. He had two catches for 12 yards on four targets. He has 10 catches on 29 targets this season. The production hasn’t been there all season.
Tonka Hemingway:
The fourth-round pick played for the eighth time this season and played 42 percent of the snaps, the second highest of the season. He played well and had two tackles, including his second sack. He’s making nice progress.
JJ Pegues:
The defensive tackle, taken in the sixth round, played for the eighth time, a season-high 37 percent of the snaps. He had three tackles. He needs to play a lot Sunday as well.
Cody Lindenberg:
The seventh-round pick played 90 percent of the special-teams snaps, which is his normal range.
Carter Runyan:
The undrafted free agent tight end played one snaps on offense and 17 snaps on special teams.
Greedy Vance:
The undrafted free agent played 35 snaps, matching his total in his other four games. He had a rough outing as the Giants picked on him. But it’s a learning process.
