Are the Los Angeles Rams good this year? Are they bad? Are the average? Are they choke artists, or do they not have enough talent? Is it on coaching, is it the players?
For a team with a 11 wins on the season, there are a lot of questions about the Rams, and those questions really have been around since their 19-point blown lead to the Philadelphia Eagles, but there should be more uncertainty about this team than ever after their back-to-back losses to the Seattle Seahawks (a lost 16-point lead), and the Atalanta Falcons (a game where the Rams didn’t show up for the first half).
This team is going to the playoffs, and that’s a fact. Are they about to get bounced as soon as they arrive? Are they going to catch fire again like they did earlier this season?
I don’t think anyone knows. At this point, this team looks like they’ve regressed from earlier this campaign.
Thank you all for checking out Turf Show Times, and yes, the Rams ended their 2025 year (not season) with a whimper, but maybe their start to 2026 will be a bang.
NFL power rankings Week 18: With Rams’ latest loss, who’s No. 1 as playoffs near? (usatoday)
“1. Los Angeles Rams (1): Say what? They’re still atop these rankings after successive losses that have relegated them to wild-card status? In a word: Yep. Matthew Stafford remains this season’s best quarterback. Puka Nacua remains this season’s best wideout. The defense is one of the NFC’s best when fully stocked. LA will be getting WR Davante Adams, DB Quentin Lake and some starting offensive linemen back for the playoffs. The Rams’ beleaguered special teams even made a big play in Monday night’s loss at Atlanta − a game that suddenly didn’t mean all that much after the weekend’s developments. Yep, we’ll continue riding with a talented team that can beat anybody and, more importantly, do it anywhere.“
Biggest NFL Draft Questions Surrounding Rams (si.com)
“Not only can they do that, but they can also find immediate-impact players in the class. Snead has been able to do both throughout his years as general manager.
But lingering questions remain about what the Rams might do in the draft, from who they might take to where their pick might land.
What are some of the most important questions facing the Rams as they take a peak ahead to the NFL Draft? Let’s break them down.“
Matthew Stafford’s 3-INT night sinks Rams in prime-time loss to Falcons (nfl.com)
“It was too many things to overcome,” McVay said, via the team’s official website. “We put ourselves behind the eight ball and that’s why we’re sitting here with the L.”
Monday’s slow start came a week after the Rams lost a 30-14 fourth-quarter lead to Seattle, which dropped the Rams out of contention for the NFC West and the No. 1 seed in the conference. Back-to-back losses now have the Wild Card-bound Rams looking at the No. 6 seed, which would include a trip to either Chicago or Philadelphia in the first round of the playoffs. A Rams win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 18, coupled with a 49ers loss to Seattle, would give L.A. the five seed, which faces the NFC South winner (Carolina or Tampa Bay).“
