NFL Week 17: Highest-graded plays of the week

  • Chase Young’s strip-sack-touchdown: One of the most remarkable plays of the season saw Chase Young score on a sack-fumble return in which the ball never touched the ground. Initially appearing unlikely to generate pressure, Young stayed alive on the rush as Cam Ward drifted backward to evade another defender, allowing Young to clean up the play with the sack. Not satisfied with just the takedown, he ripped the ball free and sprinted into the end zone, earning a +2.5 PFF grade on the play.
  • Jason Marshall Jr.’s first career interception: When the ball left Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield’s hand, it appeared to be a touchdown in the making. However, with the pass underthrown, Marshall was able to recover and make a play on the ball, high-pointing it in front of the receiver for the interception and earning a +1.5 PFF grade.

Here are a few standout plays from Week 17.

Chase Young’s strip-sack-touchdown

One of the most remarkable plays of the season saw Chase Young score on a sack-fumble return in which the ball never touched the ground.

Aidan Hutchinson’s spin move sack

Aidan Hutchinson has enjoyed a strong season in his return from injury in 2025, and this was one of his best plays of the year. He beat the offensive lineman with a quick spin move before bringing Vikings quarterback Max Brosmer down for a sack, earning a +1.5 PFF grade on the play.

Jason Marshall Jr.’s first career interception

When the ball left Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield’s hand, it appeared to be a touchdown in the making. However, with the pass underthrown, Marshall was able to recover and make a play on the ball, high-pointing it in front of the receiver for the interception and earning a +1.5 PFF grade.

Chigoziem Okonkwo’s long touchdown

There was not much to the catch itself, but it became one of the highest-graded receptions of the week thanks to Okonkwo’s work after the catch. He spun off the first tackle attempt before breaking a second on his way to the end zone, earning a +1.5 PFF grade on the play.
