The Las Vegas Raiders are hosting the New York Giants on Sunday. Here is everything to need to know about the game:
First quarter
The Raiders won the coin flip and deferred to the second half.
The Giants got into Las Vegas territory and then their opening drive stalled on a Jaxson Dart slip to the ground for a sack and multiple penalties.
Raiders guard Dylan Parham was listed as questionable with an illness before the Raiders’ offense took the field. Atonio Mafi is starting for Parham.
The Raiders went three and out on their first drive.
Now, the Giants punt. This game is as advertised.
The Raiders got down to the Giants 15-yard line on a 26-yradf yard from Geno Smith to Tre Tucker. However, Smith was then intercepted and the Giants returned to Las Vegas territory. A huge swing on the mistake by Smith, who leads the NFL in interceptions.
The Giants cashed in on the turnover to take a 7-0 lead.
Second quarter:
The Raiders responded with a solid drive ending in a Daniel Carlson field goal to cut the Giants lead to 7-3 with 9:41 to go in the quarter.
Dart cruised the Giants down the field and scored on a 12-yard run. New York up 14-3 with just under six minutes to go.
More Giants points.
Halftime: Giants 17, Raiders 3.
Third quarter:
The Raiders got the ball to open the game, but it was another terrible possession and resulted in a punt.
The Giants offense continued to have success, and extended its lead to 20-3 with a field goal with 7:17 remaining in the quarter.
