Our Miami Dolphins come into this week’s game with nothing to play for other than their jobs and to be spoilers. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers still have plenty to play for with a divisional title on the line. Tampa has lost its last three games, including last week’s game to its divisional leader, the Carolina Panthers, 23-20. The Bucs will need to win out against our Dolphins today and the Panthers next week to keep their hopes alive of winning their division, the NFC South, which will likely be their only route into the playoffs.
Another storyline to follow for our Dolphins today is the continued progress of starting rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers, who took over last week after the benching of Tua Tagovailoa. The Phins will also continue to look at other young talent on the roster. The team is adding wide receiver Theo Wease, Jr., along with other players being elevated from the practice squad, including linebacker Derrick McLendon and offensive lineman Josh Priebe.
