Cornerback Kenny Moore missed practice today due to a hip injury. Moore injured his hip in the second half of last weeks game against the Bears and gad to exit the game because of it. The Colts are already dangerously thin at cornerback after not adding much depth during the offseason and starter Juju Brents landing on IR recently. Chris Lammons who filled in for Moore when he left the Bears game also missing practice today is another potential blow to a paper thin unit.
Defensive end Kwity Paye missed practice today due to a quadriceps injury. Paye went down during the Bears game with the quad injury and had to leave the game and did not return. The Colts have depth at the defensive end position and have some defensive linemen with position flexibility however the team does not need to lose another high quality starter at the position to a long term injury.
Right tackle Braden Smith missed practice today with a knee injury. Smith popped up on the injury report late last week with a knee injury and it appears the he is still struggling with the injury this week. The Colts offense line has been a standout unit so far this season but losing Smith for a game or more would be a big knock. The Colts have some depth at the position with second year tackle Blake Freeland and rookie Matt Goncalves who could line up at right tackle if needed.
