The only good thing about being 0-3.
One bright side of the Cincinnati Bengal’s current standings is they now have a premium position in the NFL waiver wire.
Effective today, the NFL’s waiver claim priority will reflect 2024 records, not the 2024 original draft order.

Will the Bengals use this to their advantage? We likely won’t know until they actually claim someone.
They should be looking for help in plenty of areas, but the defensive line could use some depth more than anything. Maybe the offensive tackle behind that, after Trent Brown’s injury, has that position slightly thinner.
You shouldn’t expect a starting-caliber player to end up in Cincinnati, but rotational depth pieces can be had off the waiver wire.
This team can’t afford to ignore a talented player at almost any position at this point sitting at 0-3 at the bottom of the AFC North with a wasted year appearing more and more likely.
It is too bad that better ownership and front office personnel aren’t on the waiver wire. That and maybe a coach or two is really what this team needs going into next offseason.
