They’re heading into the locker rooms at halftime at AT&T Stadium, and things between the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys are still tied up, but the score is now 17-17.

The Cowboys took the lead back on the second play of the quarter, as Malik Davis took the ball into the end zone from the 1-yard like to make it 14-7. He’s the second different running back to score tonight for the Cowboys, as he appears to have replaced Javonte Williams, who is questionable to return with a shoulder injury.

On the next drive, the Vikings faced a 3rd-and-7, and J.J. McCarthy found Jordan Addison on a beautiful pass to pick up 58 yards down to the Dallas 4-yard line to set up a first-and-goal.

McCarthy then scrambled on third down and was taken down inside the 1-yard line. The Vikings brought in the heavy package, and then. . .McCarthy faked a handoff to Jordan Mason and pretty much walked the ball into the end zone for a touchdown. Will Reichard hit the extra point, and we were tied back up again at 14.

It looked like the Cowboys would take the lead back on their next possession, as they got Brandon Aubrey into position for a 51-yard field goal, but Aubrey. . .largely regarded as the league’s best kicker. . .pushed the attempt to the right to keep things tied at 14-14 with just under six minutes left in the second quarter.

The Vikings pushed down into the red zone, but had to settle for a field goal of their own, as Will Reichard connected from 29 yards out to take their first lead of the night, 17-14. Dallas then pushed the ball down to the Minnesota red zone, and Aubrey tied things up just before the half with a 37-yard field goal to make it 17-17 heading into the locker room.

The Cowboys will get the football first coming out of the locker room, as they won the coin toss and deferred to the second half.

Things are all tied up on Sunday Night Football, ladies and gentlemen, as the Vikings and the Cowboys are all knotted up at 17-17. Come on in and join us for the third quarter of play, won’t you?
