Earlier this week, I asked the following questions about tomorrow’s game:
What are your predictions for the upcoming game between your Miami Dolphins and the Pittsburgh Steelers? Final score? MVP of the game? Other bold predictions? Additionally, which Steelers players would you, if you could, steal to place on the Miami Dolphins roster?
Below are some of your thoughts and answers-
Alpha6 wants a Watt.
Watt What? Watt
Fank02 would take a stud LB and a big WR…
Patrick Queen for defense, I’ve always loved how he plays. DK Metcalf for offense, he always seems to come up with the ball when thrown to him.
The Earl is hoping for an upgrade at TE.
Darnell Washington
dedstrk went with some sarcasm, I think!?!
Jalen Ramsey or Jonnu Smith!
Is Old Man Rodgers and improvement over Tua? I’d think so. I’ll go with him to be different.
finfanfromsiam wants the other TE.
Pat Freirmuth.
phinette knows about Tua and that he’s just not that down with winter weather of any kind.
I’d like to strike an optimistic note here, but we’re talking about Tua in adverse weather conditions. I am not hopeful. Pittsburgh will stack the box and pressure Tua. Pittsburgh 21-10. 😞
Darryl Dunphy 2.0 sees everything going wrong for Miami Monday night.
This has Steeler beatdown written all over it.
I doubt we score 10 points. I think they will score plenty as Rodgers pretty much owns Miami(at least thats how I remember it). Tua turns it over a few times, we have some crushing penalties that kill momentum, McDaniel has to use 2 timeouts in quarter 3 because he can’t get plays called, and we get a punt blocked.
It will be a classic prime time performance.
Pitt 24 Miami 6
phinfan413 sees no point in playing to win at this point.
The season is over so how Miami competes against Pittsburg is irrelevant at this point.
Playing to win should be the least of their concerns. Best approach for the team would be to play the younger players so that the new GM can evaluate them as possible contributors for the 2026/2027 seasons.
Start Tua Monday so the normal offense can be run, but give the rookie QB several sets of downs in the 2nd half to see how he performs.
Rest Achane, no reason for him to get excess wear and tear in a lost season.
Hopefully the team can start digging themselves out of the giant hole they are in and compete again beginning in 2028.
Ownership needs to prepare the team for a long term rebuild. The Pats have lapped us and are positioned to dominate the division for the foreseeable future with a top coach/QB combo, giant cap space and several draft picks.
Bill Moody sees this game as winnable but also one where everything might go wrong for the good guys.
Steelers are good against the run. I hope this isn’t the game where M2 outsmarts himself and starts doing what he thinks they think he won’t do instead of just doing what works. This is the kind of game that feels like it will come down to 1) who makes the most mistakes 2) who makes the best adjustments. This feels like a winnable game, which history tells me, this is the week that we get the rug pulled out from under us. Hope I’m wrong.
CluelessNFLfan thinks that Miami can win this one through the air.
Steelers D has given up 4th most passing yards. We should actually win relatively easy
Spok507 has Miami matching up well against Pittsburgh.
I suspect the Steelers might be overlooking us based on how we started the season. Things have changed, and I believe we match up pretty well at this point. Their run defense isn’t that good, ranking at or near the bottom in yards allowed and 1st downs allowed, so considering we are now more of a running offense, I think that should work to our advantage. Hopefully Achane is OK and can slip through their DLine like butter. Their passing defense is middle of the road, so even if Tua does put the ball in the air, I’m hoping it can be rare, under good circumstances and effective enough to keep them from crowding the line. Balance — but in favor of the run — is our best bet. My concern is our secondary against Rodgers. He has a couple new targets, but Douglas and Jones have been playing well, and I think with Minkah taking on a bigger role, we should be able to mitigate any surge for them. I do think — despite the narratives of cold and prime time — we match up well and can continue to play well enough to come out of this with a win. Dolphins 24-17.
FLexile has Patterson cementing a job for next season.
It will be a good test for Riley Patterson. If he makes some good kicks in bad weather and he makes all extra point attempts, He should be the leader for that job next year.
NCDolfan has old man Rodgers looking old.
I see us containing Rodgers hitting the old slow qb often. We can stop their run game. Can they stop ours? Don’t think so. Phins by 4
I Hate Sports has Miami pulling the game out by kicking a lot of FGs.
18-16 Dolphins. Pittsburgh misses a game winning FG from 48-yards.
Dolphins get 18 with 6 FGs, Steelers get 16 with a FG, TD, FG, FG.
VolFaninFla points out that its going to be very, very cold in Pittsburgh Monday night.

That’s our selection of questions for this evenining. It seems as if the majority of the fan base has Miami winning this weeks game over the Steelers. As alway we would like to thank each of you who took your time to participate in our question of the day post. Please be sure to join us tomorrow for the Sunday game’s thread and Monday night for the live game thread for our Miami Dolphins Vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.
