Terron Armstead’s injury was originally reported as a concussion.
Miami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead is in concussion protocol after Sunday’s 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Armstead exited the game in the second quarter due to an eye injury and was later downgraded to out.
When speaking with the media Tuesday, coach Mike McDaniel shared that both Armstead and cornerback Kendall Fuller are in concussion protocol.
“Good conversations with them today, but we will – no timelines and day-to-day and just making sure that they’re getting back to full health and assessing the plan after that,” McDaniel said. “So I don’t really, I couldn’t rule anybody out for anything, but I really don’t have a scope either, just because it was so fresh and we’re just taking it day by day.”
Tenth-year offensive lineman Kendall Lamm stepped in for Armstead at left tackle and didn’t allow a quarterback pressure while playing 41 of the team’s 61 offensive snaps. Despite drafting Patrick Paul in the second round, Lamm will likely step in again if Armstead is unavailable for Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans.
Since Miami plays Monday night, the team will release its first injury report on Thursday.
