The New York Giants are once again signing edge defender Tomon Fox to their 53-man roster in advance of Monday night’s game against the New England Patriots.
With Kayvon Thibodeaux out with a shoulder injury and Victor Dimukeje questionable with a knee injury, the Giants need edge depth.
This will be the fourth time this season the Giants have signed Fox to the active roster. Each of the previous three times he was signed he was eventually waived and re-signed to the team’s practice squad.
A four-year veteran, the former undrafted free agent has played in four games this season. He figures to be the primary backup on Monday for Brian Burns and Abdul Carter.
The Giants are also elevating wide receiver Dalen Cambre and inside linebacker Swayze Bozeman from the practice squad. Both have become primary special teams players.
This will be the third elevation for Cambre. Bozeman, like Fox, has bounced between the practice squad and active roster all season.
