We have made it through the first quarter of play at Lumen Field, and your Minnesota Vikings are tied with the Seattle Seahawks, 0-0.

The Seahawks won the coin toss and deferred to the second half, giving Max Brosmer and the Vikings’ offense the football first. It looked like a three-and-out on the first drive, but the Seahawks were called for a defensive hold on a third-down stop to give the Vikings a fresh set of downs. The next third down yielded a similar result, with Brosmer getting sacked by Leonard Williams to end the Minnesota drive and Ryan Wright punted it away.

The Seahawks gained some yardage on their first possession, but the drive ultimately came to an end when the Vikings got a sack of their own, courtesy of Eric Wilson dragging Sam Darnold down for a loss. Minnesota started its second possession at their own 13-yard line. They picked up one first down, and then Jordan Addison dropped what could have been a huge gain if he could have pulled in a very catchable ball, leading to another Minnesota punt.

Seattle then went three-and-out with the Vikings getting pressure on Darnold up the middle once again. Minnesota’s offense then answered with a three-and-out of their own. As we move to the second quarter of play, the Seahawks are looking at a 1st-and-10 from their own 47-yard line.

Pretty quiet first quarter from Seattle, as we’re heading to the second quarter with a scoreless tie between the Vikings and the Seahawks. Come on in and join us for the second quarter of play!
