Meko and Morgan are back on the Pride of Detroit YouTube channel, discussing the Detroit Lions’ Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
The beginning of a new work week is never overly enjoyable, but I have found one thing that always helps out—even if injury news slightly took the wind out of our collective sails—that’s right, I am talking about a good old victory Monday.
After a trip out west to face off with the Arizona Cardinals, the Detroit Lions found themselves back in the win column in Week 3 with a convincing 20-13 win in the desert.
Meko and I (Morgan) are back on the Pride of Detroit YouTube channel breaking down several topics coming off the win, including which of the injuries sustained in Week 3 could be the most troublesome moving forward (of note: we recorded this video before the news of All-Pro center Frank Ragnow partially tearing his pectoral muscle).
We touched on whether or not we believe the Lions should continue to lean into their identity as a power-running team. After a dominant showing on the ground against the Cardinals where they ran for 187 yards on 43 attempts, the conversation surrounding the offense is sure to be a hotly debated topic for weeks to come.
We also discussed where we would rank the defense through the first three weeks of the season. It was a fun discussion that had us heaping a ton of praise on several players from the defensive side of the ball, including safeties Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch.
