Every week of the NFL season brings fresh market signals, and power ratings are one of the sharpest tools to cut through the noise. PFF’s updated ratings don’t just tell you who’s playing well — they help explain where perception and reality may be drifting apart.
In this article, we’ll highlight the three teams that gained the most ground after last week’s results. We’ll also break down schedule strength over the next four weeks, identifying the softest and toughest upcoming slates — a key lens for spotting overreactions in lines, totals and futures. The aim is to give bettors a forward-looking edge: who’s rising, who’s facing resistance and where opportunity might still be hiding.

Top 3 Risers
Cincinnati Bengals +3.5
Joe Burrow’s return gives the Bengals a major lift in the power ratings, but that bump comes against a backdrop of decline — Cincinnati’s team rating had already slipped after four straight losses.
Dallas Cowboys +1.1
For the second straight week, the Cowboys rank as the No. 2 most improved team in our power ratings. After falling behind early, their comeback win over the Eagles delivered another ratings bump as they head into a Thanksgiving matchup with the Chiefs.
Los Angeles Rams +0.8
The Rams keep rolling, and the league’s highest-rated team in our power rankings gets another significant boost after a dominant showing against the Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football.
Hardest Upcoming Schedules
Cincinnati Bengals (Avg Opp PR of 3.5)
W13: BLT (5.8) | W14: BUF (4.6) | W15: BLT (5.8) | W16: MIA (-2.1)
Schedule notes: The Bengals hit the road for the next two weeks before returning home for a second matchup with the Ravens in a three-week span. It’s a tough stretch, but they’ll get a needed boost under center with Joe Burrow back in the lineup.
Las Vegas Raiders (Avg Opp PR of 3.4)
W13: LAC (1.7) | W14: DEN (4) | W15: PHI (3.8) | W16: HST (4.1)
Schedule notes: The Raiders head to Los Angeles this week with the Chargers coming off their bye. Three of Las Vegas’ next four games will be on the road, with a divisional matchup against Denver serving as their lone home stop in that stretch.
Pittsburgh Steelers (Avg Opp PR of 3.4)
W13: BUF (4.6) | W14: BLT (5.8) | W15: MIA (-2.1) | W16: DET (5.2)
Schedule notes: The hits keep coming for the Steelers as they enter the toughest four-game stretch of their season. Buffalo visits this week with a rest advantage after playing on Thursday night, and the same will be true when Pittsburgh faces the Ravens and Lions, both of whom also play on Thursdays before taking on the Steelers. Pittsburgh will even lose a day of prep for the Lions matchup, as the Steelers play on Monday night against the Dolphins the week prior.
Easiest Upcoming Schedules
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Avg Opp PR of -4.8)
W13: ARZ (-3.4) | W14: NO (-9.1) | W15: ATL (-2.9) | W16: CAR (-3.8)
Schedule notes: The Buccaneers now get a three-game homestand after back-to-back road trips to Buffalo and Los Angeles. Their only road matchup in that stretch comes against the Panthers, and even that arrives with a rest advantage after Tampa hosts the Falcons on Thursday night in Week 15.
San Francisco 49ers (Avg Opp PR of -4.3)
W13: CLV (-5.5) | W14: BYE | W15: TEN (-9) | W16: IND (1.6)
Schedule notes: A cross-country trip to Cleveland stands in the way of the 49ers and their bye week.
Miami Dolphins (Avg Opp PR of -4.2)
W13: NO (-9.1) | W14: NYJ (-7.4) | W15: PIT (.8) | W16: CIN (-1.1)
Schedule notes: The Dolphins get a week to rest before returning with a home matchup against New Orleans, followed by back-to-back road games against the Jets and Steelers.
