Should Las Vegas consider taking on replaced young quarterback?
No matter what happens with Gardner Minshew at the helm of the Las Vegas Raiders’ offense the rest of this season, it has long been considered (and still is) that the franchise will look for a quarterback of the future next offseason.
The most likely avenue will be through the draft, but there are no guarantees the will be in position to draft a true difference maker at the position. The free-agent market is pretty thin. So, the team may have to get creative.
In the past week, a potential new target has emerged as the Carolina Panthers have benched 2023 No. 1 overall draft pick Bryce Young. While the team has stated it has no intentions of trading the Alabama product, the reality is, he will probably need a fresh start elsewhere.
Should the Raiders consider making a push for Young?
The price tag likely won’t be much. He’s still under a reasonable contract and he is very talented. A new start may do the trick. And even if the Raiders were to add Young, that doesn’t mean they have to immediately commit to him. They could still add at the position.
Of course, though, there is a chance the small Young just isn’t built for NFL success no matter where he plays.
