The Miami Dolphins have won their last two games, their first back-to-back wins of the year. Coming out of victories over their AFC East rivals, the Buffalo Bills, and the Washington Commanders in the league’s first regular-season game in Spain, Miami is enjoying its bye week this weekend before it makes a final six-week run to the end of the season.
Week 12 fan confidence survey results
This has been a rough season for the Dolphins and the team’s fans. Our weekly fan confidence survey has dropped as low as three percent (Week 7), and has had single-digit responses in five other weeks (Weeks 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8). As we head into Week 12 and the bye, our results are about as high as they have been all season.
Before Week 1, 45 percent of the fans thought Miami was headed in the right direction. Fast forward to Weeks 11 and 12, and, despite the low marks in the middle of the season, our survey is approaching the Week 1 level. Last week, 43 percent of fans said the Dolphins are headed in the right direction. This week, it ticked down slightly, with 41 percent of the responses positive for the team.
The majority of the fan base is still feeling negatively about the team, but at least it is not hovering in the single-digits anymore.

National Poll: Chiefs dynasty
The national SB Nation Reacts survey asked fans if we are seeing the end of the Kansas City Chiefs’ dynasty. The Chiefs have advanced to the conference championship round of the playoffs each of the last seven years. They have been the AFC representative in the Super Bowl five times during that span, including the last three title games, winning Super Bowls LIV (2019 season), LVII (2022 season), and LVIII (2023 season).
Kansas City has been a dominant force in the AFC, but this year, they have had their stumbles. The Chiefs are 5-5 on the season, 3.5 games behind the Denver Broncos in the AFC West standings, and lagging behind the Los Angeles Chargers (7-4), Buffalo Bills (7-4), Jacksonville Jaguars (6-4), and Houston Texans (6-5) in the race for the three Wild Card playoff positions. They have to be wary of the Baltimore Ravens (5-5), who missed starting quarterback Lamar Jackson for three games earlier this year, and the Miami Dolphins (4-7), who have pieced together just enough of a season to play spoiler.
This has not been a typical Chiefs season, and the fans think this might be the end of their greatness. Asked if we are watching the end of the Chiefs’ dynasty, 63 percent of the fans said they think it is. Will quarterback Patrick Mahomes be able to spark a run for Kansas City, positioning them to keep the AFC championship and Super Bowl appearance streaks alive? Or are we really at the end of a special run from the Chiefs?
