We are back with another episode of Before the Roar, your Detroit Lions’ preview podcast here at Pride of Detroit, where we are breaking down everything ahead of the Week 12 matchup against the New York Giants. Fresh off the heels of a frustrating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit will be looking to rebound at home against a Giants team that, despite their 2-9 record on the season, has been competitive in most of their games thus far in 2025.
With a 6-4 record through their first 10 games of the year, everything is still in front of the Lions, and it begins with taking care of business against a Giants team that is still adjusting since firing coach Brian Daboll midseason. In his place, New York elevated Mike Kafka as interim head coach, hoping to create a spark for a banged up Giants team that may be close to another total reset.
To break everything down, myself (Morgan Cannon) and my good friend Meko Scott are back to discuss everything you need to know ahead of Sunday’s game at Ford Field. We kick things off by breaking down each team’s Wednesday injury report. And despite a lengthy list of injuries for the Lions, we discuss how the team is actually trending in the right direction in terms of their overall health.
From there, we get into both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, as well as our choices for this week’s X-factors, and score predictions. You can watch the entire episode right here.
