Jack Jones says Las Vegas ‘Raiders should’ve kept me’

The Las Vegas Raiders had Sunday off, but let’s check in on how Week 11 treated a few former Raiders: Jack Jones, Jakobi Meyers and Davante Adams.

While Josh Jacobs is typically featured in this column, Jacobs had seven carries for 40 yards before exiting the Green Bay Packers’ 27-20 victory against the New York Giants early with a knee injury. According to NFL media’s Tom Pelissero, the initial belief is that Jacobs avoided a significant injury and “there is optimism that he’ll return soon”, though.

Jack Jones

The Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders kicked off Sunday’s action with a 6:30 a.m. PT game in Madrid, Spain, and an overtime thriller. Jones played a major role in the Dolphins’ win, coming up with the interception (off of another former Raider, Marcus Mariota) to set up Miami’s game-winning field goal. As the numbers above show, Jones had a pretty good day in coverage and after the contest, he posted on X/Twitter: “The Raiders should’ve kept me.. #GoPhins.” He had a good outing on Sunday, but coming into the weekend, the corner had given up three touchdowns and a passer rating of 113.5 while drawing seven penalties, according to Pro Football Focus.

Jakobi Meyers

  • Game result: 35-6 Jaguars win
  • Stats: 5 catches, 64 yards

This was an absolute beatdown, as the Jacksonville Jaguars dominated the Los Angeles Chargers essentially from the first snap to the last. For the second week in a row, Meyers was the team’s leading receiver, and it looks like he’s built immediate chemistry with quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The former Raider also led the Jags in targets. Granted, Jacksonville’s running game was the bigger story here, rushing for nearly 200 yards and over four yards a carry as a team. The Jaguars now sit half a game behind the Chargers and have the tiebreaker for the sixth-seed in the AFC playoff standings, while also leading the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs by a game, owning the tiebreaker over Kansas City.

Davante Adams

  • Game result: 21-19 Rams
  • Stats: 1 catch, 1 yard, 1 TD

All Adams does this season is catch touchdowns. He has seven scores in the last four games and, according to PFF, he has more red zone TDs than any other wide receiver has total TDs this season. So, while the wideout only had one catch on the afternoon, he certainly made it count by finding the end zone for the 10th time in 2025, which is the seventh time in 12 career seasons he’s cracked double-digits. Adams also joined the 1,000-career catch club, tying Hines Ward for 16th all-time. This was a huge win for the Rams, who now control the NFC West by getting a one-game lead over the Seahawks and currently own the two-seed in the conference.
