We are a little less than ninety minutes from kickoff in Minneapolis, and the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears have released their inactive lists for today’s contest. Let’s take a look at who will be viewing this one in street clothes from the sidelines.
Chicago Bears
- LB T.J. Edwards
- CB Jaylon Jones
- QB Case Keenum (emergency QB)
- WR Jahdae Walker
- DL Chris Williams
No real surprises on the inactive list for the Bears, as far as I can see. They declared Edwards and Walker as “out” on their final injury report. The Bears had also opened the 21-day practice window for cornerback Jaylon Johnson, but decided to downgrade him to “out” for this one.
Minnesota Vikings
- OLB Chaz Chambliss
- OLB Jonathan Greenard
- OT Walter Rouse
- TE Ben Sims
- DL Elijah Williams
No surprises on the inactive list for the Vikings. Jonathan Greenard was declared out by the Vikings on their final injury report, the only Viking with an injury designation (Ryan Kelly doesn’t count because he’s still in his 21-day post-IR practice window). The Vikings also didn’t elevate anyone from the practice squad for today’s game, so their inactive list only needs to be five players long. Still no #3 “emergency” quarterback behind J.J. McCarthy and Max Brosmer for the Vikings.
Those are your inactive lists for today’s game, folks. We’re going to have our first Open Thread of the day dropping about half an hour before kickoff at 11:30 AM Central, and we’re hoping that a lot of you will be joining us for today’s game!
