The former Bengals quarterback picked up the Panthers’ first win of the season.
It was a big Sunday for former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton as the Carolina Panthers went on the road and dominated the Las Vegas Raiders.
Dalton was announced the starter earlier in the week after former first-overall pick Bryce Young was shockingly benched.
The veteran quarterback finished the day with over 300 passing yards and three touchdowns on 26/37 passing, and most importantly, the win for a franchise that needed it the most.
First things first, Cincinnati needs to take care of business against the Washington Commanders and pick up the win, but next week, the Bengals are set to visit the Panthers in Carolina, which suddenly looks like a much tougher game than anticipated.
The former TCU great lit a spark for the Panthers, and the offense looks like a brand-new unit with Dalton leading the way.
Yet again, the Bengals are set to face off against Dalton since his departure after the 2019 season. Dalton is 2-1 vs. Cincinnati since leaving the team, the most recent contest being a narrow loss to the Bengals in the 2022 season while starting for the Saints. He has wins vs. the Bengals as a starter for the Bears and the Cowboys.
It should be interesting to see Burrow vs. Dalton next Sunday in Charlotte.
