The Miami Dolphins have lost two straight games and open as the underdogs for Monday Night Football in Week 4.
The Miami Dolphins are coming off an embarrassingly bad performance against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, with the team struggling to find any offensive rhythm. Backup quarterback Skylar Thompson, starting in place of the injured Tua Tagovailoa, was injured during the game, leading to third-string quarterback Tim Boyle finishing the game for Miami. The game against the Seahawks featured multiple penalties, mistakes, questionable decisions, and ineffective playcalling. It was ugly.
Now, Miami has to prepare for a Monday Night Football game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. Who will be the team’s starting quarterback? Can they get back to looking like the explosive offensive team from lat year? How will they match up with the team that started the downward slide that cost them the AFC East division title last year?
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, there are too many questions surrounding the Dolphins. The oddsmakers have Miami opening as a 1.5-point underdog to the Titans.
The Dolphins are -102 on the moneyline for a straight-up win, while the Titans are -116. The point total is set at 36.5.
Miami has not done themselves any favors early this year. They are in a hole and must figure out how to pull themselves out. A primetime Monday night game is a great time to start to fix the problems – but the oddsmakers do not seem to think the Dolphins will do it.
