On Friday, the NFL announced its list of 2025 Fans of the Year, and for the Miami Dolphins, it was a moment of a lifetime for this mother-son tandem.
During the first quarter of the Dolphins’ Thursday Night Week 9 Matchup vs. the Baltimore Ravens, Tommy and Lydia Dubinski found out that they would be representing the Dolphins as the 2025 Fans of the Year — the first time in its history that teams could nominate a pair of fans.
According to the Miami Dolphins’ official site, Lydia became a season ticket holder in 1988 and never looked back. Her son Tommy, a firefighter-paramedic from Pompano Beach, Florida, became the primary season ticket holder before the 2025 season. The two have shared countless memories over the years, rooting for their favorite team from the comfort of the Hard Rock Stadium and the Orange Bowl. For more on their story, head on over to the Dolphins’ official site!
Previous winners of the Dolphins Fan of the Year contest include Ian Berger (Big E), Marc Angelo, Allison Goomdman (Dolphreaky), Chris Barker, and Lisa Siegel. To vote for Tommy and Lydia Dubinski or any of this year’s nominees, click on the link provided below.
