Every week of the NFL season brings fresh market signals, and power ratings are one of the sharpest tools to cut through the noise. PFF’s updated ratings don’t just tell you who’s playing well — they help explain where perception and reality may be drifting apart.
In this article, we’ll highlight the three teams that gained the most ground after last week’s results. We’ll also break down schedule strength over the next four weeks, identifying the softest and toughest upcoming slates — a key lens for spotting overreactions in lines, totals, and futures.
The aim is to give bettors a forward-looking edge: who’s rising, who’s facing resistance, and where opportunity might still be hiding.

Top 3 Risers
An emphatic win on Monday Night Football was in order for the Cardinals. They traveled to Dallas and walked away with a 10-point victory as 3-point underdogs to snap their five-game losing streak. Jacoby Brissett looked great in doing so, but Kyler Murray could be back as soon as this week.
Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but the Buffalo Bills beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the regular season. The Bills claim the top spot in PFF’s Power Ratings this week after a seven-point win at home. The defensive line for the Bills was the main story here, hurrying Patrick Mahomes at a 46.2% clip.
Sam Darnold was throwing the ball all over the yard coming out of Seattle’s bye week, leading the Seahawks to a 24-point win over the Commanders. That triumph makes it three in a row and six of their last seven. Despite the strong start to the season, Seattle still slots fifth among NFC teams in Super Bowl odds.
Hardest Upcoming Schedules
W10: BLT (5.1) | W11: CHI (-.3) | W12: GB (5.6) | W13: SEA (3.1)
Schedule notes: The Ravens will hold the Thursday Night Football advantage for the Week 10 tilt. After two games at home, Minnesota will do another back-to-back on the road when it travels to Green Bay and Seattle.
W10: NE (.2) | W11: BUF (6.6) | W12: LA (5.6) | W13: ARZ (-.1)
Schedule notes: The Bucs will host a surging Patriots team off their bye, before back-to-back tough road games at the Bills and the Rams. Both are difficult travel spots for weather and time zone differences. They’ll play host to the Cardinals coming east in Week 13.
W10: CHI (-.3) | W11: GB (5.6) | W12: DET (4.7) | W13: NE (.2)
Schedule notes: To make things tougher, the Giants will be on the road for three of their next four games, with the sole home showdown coming next week. In Week 10, New York hosts the toughest power-rated team remaining on its schedule, Green Bay.
Easiest Upcoming Schedules
W10: IND (1.5) | W11: CAR (-2.4) | W12: NO (-10.7) | W13: NYJ (-6.2)
Schedule notes: A tough road game in Berlin against Indianapolis this week, before the Falcons will face three teams that are negatively power-rated. Their easiest matchup, according to power ratings, will come with the toughest situational spot. In Week 12, the Saints will be coming off of their bye week hosting Atlanta.
W10: MIN (1.1) | W11: CLV (-6) | W12: NYJ (-6.2) | W13: CIN (-4.3)
Schedule notes: Baltimore will continue its three-game road trip traveling to Minnesota this week, and Cleveland the week after. The Jets will have extra rest advantage in Week 12, as they will have played on Thursday in Week 11.
W10: TB (1.9) | W11: NYJ (-6.2) | W12: CIN (-4.3) | W13: NYG (-4.1)
Schedule notes: The only two things to note on the Patriots‘ schedule is that in Week 10, they will see Tampa Bay off of its bye week — and that in Week 12, they’ll hold an extra rest advantage having played on Thursday Night Football.
