Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 9/23/24

After the Los Angeles Rams defeated the San Francisco 49ers Sean McVay found Matthew Stafford on the field and called him a “stud”. The head coach may have or may not have used some other colorful language and you can watch the video below. I can only imagine how stressful yesterday’s game was for the boys, so the feeling of getting the dub and telling your quarterback how much they mean to you must’ve been nice for the head coach.

Are you still in shock from the latest Rams win? Or maybe you saw it coming the whole time? What a game. What a win for the Rams. Rough loss for the 49ers who are now 1-2 after dropping games in back-to-back weeks.

Please comment on whatever you like. Thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and enjoy your victory Monday!

NFL Week 3 Recap: Los Angeles Rams 27, San Francisco 49ers 24 (pff.com)

“With running back Christian McCaffrey and tight end George Kittle sidelined, Jauan Jennings seized the opportunity to shine for the 49ers’ offense.

Jennings delivered a career performance, catching 11 of his 12 catchable targets for 175 yards and three touchdowns in San Francisco’s loss. He moved the chains four times and hauled in five of six contested catches. Four of his receptions went for 15 or more yards, and he generated a perfect 158.3 passer rating when targeted.”

LA Rams miraculous victory stuns 49ers and NFL fans with most unlikely heroes. (ramblinfan)

“Well, the team landed a whopper of a win in Week 3. It was just one win, but it rewarded all of the elements that we have pleaded for. And it was not the win that was so satisfying. It was the way that this team won the game. When the team needed to run the football, they did. The Rams made three of five red zone appearances. Of course, you can thank RB Kyren Williams for that. He scored all three of the Rams touchdowns.”

Rams vs 49ers Takeaways: Sean McVay, Matthew Stafford Lead Charge as LA Gets Win (si.com)

“The Los Angeles Rams pulled off the most surprising upset against NFC West rival the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday after they rallied from a 14-point deficit to win the game 27-24. This victory by the Rams will have huge implications for this football team going forward as there was a level of uncertainty surrounding the outlook of the season after having their roster riddled with injuries.

Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford spoke to reporters all week about how they were not going to make any excuses about what they lacked as the expectation will always be to win. This victory against the 49ers could be the confidence builder this franchise needed after an 0-2 start to the year.”
