It’s time to take a look at what Minnesota Vikings fans everywhere. . .or, at least, the ones who read our website. . .are thinking, as we have the results of our SB Nation Reacts poll from this week.
We had two questions for you this week, starting with our usual query about whether or not you think the Vikings are going in the right direction. After a pretty embarrassing loss the last time we saw the purple take the field, the number continues to go down, which is absolutely not surprising.
With the Vikings’ record dipping below .500, we are now at just 20% of our readers who feel the Vikings are heading in the right direction. Honestly, while the Vikings have played just seven games, there was just something about that Thursday night beating they took in Los Angeles that gives you the feeling that things might not turn around here. I hope I’m wrong on that, but we shall see what the future holds.
Our other question this week was whether the Vikings should be buyers or sellers at Tuesday’s NFL Trade Deadline. Not surprisingly, we did wind up with a consensus on this one.
Of our respondents, 53% of you think that the Vikings should be selling at the deadline. I agree with the sentiment, but I also have to be honest. . .who are they dealing that has any real value? (Please don’t say Jordan Addison. . .the Vikings aren’t trading him, I don’t think.) I sort of wish we could have waited to see how the Detroit game goes on Sunday before asking this question, but we didn’t have that luxury.
Of the remaining respondents, 28% think the Vikings should stand pat at the trade deadline, while just 19% think the Vikings should be looking to add pieces before Tuesday at 3:00 PM Central.
Those are our SB Nation Reacts results from this week, folks. As always, we want to thank everyone who participated in our survey for this week, and we’ll have another one for you early in Week 10 as well.
