Before the eighth Sunday of the 2025 regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the lines for the NFL Week 8 games.
My overall record is 49-58-1. The BGN Community is better at 53-54-1.
Here are suggestions when trying to beat the odds.
NFL WEEK 8 GAMES
BUFFALO BILLS (-7.5) at CAROLINA PANTHERS: Sean McDermott is 8-0 after the bye. The well-rested Bills will be out to announce that they’re back. Plus, Andy Dalton stinks. PICK: Bills -7.5
NEW YORK JETS at CINCINNATI BENGALS (-6.5): Justin Fields would’ve been benched if Tyrod Taylor was healthy enough to play. Joe Flacco has the Bengals’ offense cooking and Cincy has the rest advantage after playing on Thursday night in Week 7. PICK: Bengals -6.5
CHICAGO BEARS at BALTIMORE RAVENS (-2.5): That the Ravens are favored here despite missing Lamar Jackson does not portend well for the Bears. PICK: Ravens -2.5
CLEVELAND BROWNS at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (-7): Drake Maye is balling. PICK: Patriots -7
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at HOUSTON TEXANS (-2.5): The Texans’ offensive line is a disaster. The 49ers have shown fight. PICK: 49ers +2.5
MIAMI DOLPHINS at ATLANTA FALCONS (-6.5): The Falcons are the NFL’s hardest team to predict on a week-to-week basis. But the Dolphins’ vibes have been atrocious all season long. PICK: Falcons -6.5
NEW YORK GIANTS at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-7.5): No A.J. Brown, no Cam Jurgens … on an offense that’s been maddeningly inconsistent all season long. Are the Birds really about to get right without those guys? PICK: Giants +7.5
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (-3.5) at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS: The Saints don’t stand a chance. PICK: Buccaneers -3.5
TENNESSEE TITANS at INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (-14.5): There’s no reason to doubt the Colts until they give people a reason to do so. PICK: Colts -14.5
DALLAS COWBOYS at DENVER BRONCOS (-3.5): Hard to bet against this resilient Broncos team but they could be due for an emotional letdown after such a big comeback. I think Denver wins on a field goal, which wouldn’t be enough to cover. PICK: Cowboys +3.5
GREEN BAY PACKERS (-3) at PITTSBURGH STEELERS: The Packers haven’t really passed the eye test since Week 2 and betting against Mike Tomlin as a home underdog typically does not go well. PICK: Steelers +3
WASHINGTON COMMANDERS at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (-11.5): The Commanders are banged up and the Chiefs are back. Two teams trending in opposite directions. PICK: Chiefs -11.5
