The Cincinnati Bengals face what feels like another must-win situation on Sunday against the New York Jets and are hoping to get one of their star players back on the field.
Defensive end Trey Hendrickson (hip) is going to be questionable on Sunday, head coach Zac Taylor told the media on Friday. After missing Week 7, there appears to be at least a decent chance that Hendrickson can return to the lineup and help a pass rush unit that couldn’t produce a single sack last week.
Defensive end Cedric Johnson (calf) is questionable after his stint on IR.
Center Matt Lee (knee), defensive end Cameron Sample (knee), and cornerback Marco Wilson are all listed as doubtful.
All other players have no game designation and should be good to go.
For the Jets, Sauce Gardner (concussion) and Garrett Wilson (knee) are out, so New York will be without their best cornerback and wide receiver on Sunday.
Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said he likes the direction that quarterback Tyrod Taylor (knee) is headed in, but he is still going to be listed as questionable. Glenn still has not named a starting quarterback for Sunday’s game, but if Taylor is healthy, he is believed to be the starter.
Meanwhile, top running back Breece Hall is questionable but should be expected to play after fully practicing Friday.
