The Philadelphia Eagles issued their second official injury report in advance of their Week 8 home game against the New York Giants.

The Eagles listed four players under DID NOT PARTICIPATE: A.J. Brown, Cam Jurgens, Adoree’ Jackson, and Azeez Ojulari.

Missing two practices in a row typically points to players not being able to play.

That being said, Brown was seen doing some rehab work on a side field. Also, Jeff McLane reported on Wednesday that Brown is “tracking toward playing Sunday.” But the Eagles opening Darius Cooper’s practice window seemingly indicates that Brown might not be available. We’ll see if Brown is able to get any work in or not on Friday.

Jurgens’ expected absence means it could be Brett Toth starting at center. Toth was lined up in Jurgens’ spot during Thursday’s media-attended portion of practice. Landon Dickerson remained at left guard.

Jackson’s expected absence means either Kelee Ringo or Jakorian Bennett (assuming he’s healthy enough to be activated from injured reserve) could start at cornerback on Sunday.

Ojulari’s expected absence leaves the Eagles with three healthy edge rushers on the active roster: Jalyx Hunt, Joshua Uche, and Patrick Johnson. The Eagles could activate Brandon Graham from his two-week roster exemption to have four guys at that position.

The Eagles listed four players under LIMITED PARTICIPATION: Landon Dickerson, Moro Ojomo, Grant Calcaterra, and Jeremiah Trotter Jr.

Dickerson, Ojomo, and Calcaterra were limited for the second day in a row. They might be able to suit up for Sunday.

Trot Jr. was upgraded from DNP to limited. He might be able to play. If not, the Eagles could look to temporarily elevate Chance Campbell from the practice squad for more LB depth and special teams help.

The Eagles listed four players under FULL PARTICIPATION: Dallas Goedert, Brandon Graham, Jakorian Bennett, and Darius Cooper.

Goedert was upgraded from limited to full go. He’ll be ready to play.

The Eagles have until 4:00 PM Eastern on Saturday, October 25 to activate BG to the active roster in time for him to play on Sunday. Ditto for Bennett. And Darius Cooper, whose 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve was opened earlier today.

NEW YORK GIANTS INJURY REPORT (THURSDAY)

Two changes from the Giants’ Wednesday injury report: 1) starting center John Michael Schmitz was upgraded from limited to full and 2) rotational defensive lineman D.J. Davidson was downgraded from limited to DNP.

Starting edge rusher Brian Burns missed practice for the second day in a row but he said he expects to play. Starting cornerback Paulson Adebo and starting safety Jevon Holland missing practice again suggests the Giants’ secondary could be missing some key components on Sunday.

We’ll learn more about limited participants such as starting right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor and starting wide receiver Darius Slayton on Friday’s final injury report.
