The New York Giants are elevating wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey and linebacker Zaire Barnes from their practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
This is the second elevation in as many weeks for both players. Humphrey had four catches for 55 yards in last week’s victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Giants are also adding edge defender Victor Dimukeje, on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list all season with a pectoral injury, to the 53-man roster. To make room, the Giants have waived defensive lineman Elijah Garcia.
Garcia has played in four games for the Giants this season, with a sack and four tackles. If he clears waivers, Garcia will almost certainly end up back on the Giants’ practice squad.
These Giants did not travel to Denver with the team on Saturday:
- WR Darius Slayton (Hamstring)
- LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (Hamstring)
- LB Swayze Bozeman (Ankle)
- DL Chauncey Golston (Neck)
- C John Michael Schmitz (Concussion)
- OL coach Carmen Bricillo
Bricillo’s family is expecting the birth of their child imminently. Assistant offensive line coach James Ferentz will run that group in his absence.
