NFL teams will always have players to fill their rosters, but that doesn’t mean those players will be as good as the ones that came before them, and the video I’ll link below proposes the idea that the Rams are better off trading away draft capital now, to win with Matthew Stafford now because it’s simply highly unlikely that the Rams will be able to replace Stafford with another quarterback as good.
Check it out:
I get the logic, I like the take, and I’ll throw out there that the Rams don’t need a quarterback to be just as good as Matthew Stafford to win another Super Bowl, but having a QB like that would certainly help. Either way, it’s an interesting take and my hope is you’ll comment with us below and let us know your thoughts!
As always, thank you for checking out Turf Show Times and happy Friday! We made it.
“Stafford hopes to be as accurate when the Rams (4-2) play the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) at iconic Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday. The game will cap a unique week for the Rams, who stayed in Baltimore after beating the Ravens last Sunday, practiced all week at the famed ballpark and then traveled across the pond later than usual.
“Guys that used to play baseball are fired off to be here,” Stafford said. “I thought I would’ve played baseball up until probably my sophomore year of high school. … I loved it growing up. This was my favorite sport, and I still love watching it.
“Maybe I’ll take some infield at some point this week.”
The extra time on the East Coast should minimize the effects of traveling eight time zones and more than 5,000 miles.“
AIN’T THAT OUR BALL How Brian Thomas Jr’s ‘energy’ will have the Jacksonville Jaguars ready to pounce on the LA Rams (the-sun.com)
“It feels good,” Thomas told Upal.
“We’re all super confident. We all go out there each and every day at practice and push each other to be the best that we can be day in and day out.
“I feel like we’re super confident and we really feel like we can do something.”
Thomas shared that his new head coach, Liam Cohen, has inspired the team to play better and fight to a 4-2 record.“
Los Angeles Rams stars Jared Verse and Byron Young are leading a pass-rushing revival (pff)
“A large part of their early success has been thanks to the blistering start from their young edge-rushing duo of Jared Verse and Byron Young.
Verse was a known commodity entering the season — he’s fresh off one of the brightest rookie seasons we’ve seen from an edge defender in recent years. Byron Young, on the other hand, is a former third-round pick who posted slightly above-average PFF grades in each of his first two NFL seasons prior to bursting out of the gates in 2025.“
