While the Las Vegas Raiders got back on track with a Week 6 win over the Tennessee Titans, the Raiders weren’t able to gain any ground in the AFC West standings since the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs all managed to take home ‘Ws’ as well.
Broncos vs. Jets
Game result: 13-11, Broncos win
- QB Bo Nix: 19/30, 174 yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs, 5 rushes, 24 rushing yards
- RB J.K. Dobbins: 14 carries, 40 yards
- TE Evan Engram: 5 catches, 42 yards
- TE Nate Adkins: 2 catches, 23 yards, 1 TD
- Edge Jonathon Cooper: 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 TFL, 3 QB hits
- Edge Nik Bonitto: 6 tackles, 1 sack, 2 QB hits
Denver won this game because its defense dominated, allowing just nine points with no touchdowns (New York had a safety) and sacking quarterback Justin Fields an impressive nine times. However, the Broncos’ offense continues to struggle as Nix seems to be going through a sophomore slump. For perspective, the Jets had given up at least 27 points in the five games before this contest across the pond.

Chargers vs. Dolphins
Game result: 29-27, Chargers win
- QB Justin Herbert: 29/38, 264 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
- RB Kimani Vidal: 18 carries, 124 yards, 3 catches, 14 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD
- WR Ladd McConkey: 7 catches, 100 yards, 1 TD
- TE Oronde Gadsden II: 7 catches, 68 yards
- S Derwin James Jr.: 5 tackles, 1 INT
- LB Troy Dye: 6 tackles, 1 TFL
While Los Angeles left Miami with ‘W’, the Chargers aren’t the same team that they were at the beginning of the season. They have struggled offensively with starting offensive tackle Joe Alt out for the two weeks leading up to this past Sunday, and the defense had a hard time stopping the Dolphins. L.A. allowed 137 yards on the ground (6.5 yards per rush), and it took three interceptions from Tua Tagovailoa to get the job done.
Next game: vs. Indianapolis Colts
Chiefs vs. Lions
Game result: 30-17, Chiefs win
- QB Patrick Mahomes: 22/30, 257 yards, 3 TDs, 10 rushes, 32 yards, 1 rushing TD
- RB Isiah Pacheco: 12 carries, 51 yards
- TE Travis Kelce: 6 catches, 78 yards
- WR Hollywood Brown: 4 catches, 45 yards, 2 TDs
- DB Chamarri Conner: 14 tackles
- LB Nick Bolton: 7 tackles, 1 TFL
This was a pretty impressive win for the Chiefs. They’ve gotten off to a slow start this season and were coming off a tough loss to the Jaguars on Monday Night Football. So beating a Super Bowl contender like Detroit by two possessions to even out the team’s record was just what Kansas City needed. On top of that, Mahomes looked like he was back to his old self with four total touchdowns.
Next game: vs. Raiders

- Internet reacts to Raiders’ win: While some fans are happy and embracing the ‘Just Win, Baby!’ mantra, others aren’t impressed by beating the 1-5 Titans.
- Not the worst: “The Raiders certainly weren’t perfect, but they are better than the Tennessee Titans and it showed in their 20-10 win at Allegiant Stadium as they broke a four-game losing streak to improve to 2-4 on the season as they won their first home game of the season,” our Bill Williamson wrote. “…The Titans, now 1-5, had no business winning that game. They had no business winning in Las Vegas on Sunday and to their credit, the Raiders didn’t allow that to happen.”
- Michael Mayer provides spark: “It was a third-year tight end making the sort of difference the organization had hoped for when drafting him out of Notre Dame in the second round,” the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Ed Graney wrote. “Mayer returned from missing the past two games with a concussion and responded with five catches for 50 yards and a touchdown.”
- Complete game from the Raiders: “Raiders’ first-round rookie Ashton Jeanty finished with 86 scrimmage yards on 25 touches with a touchdown,” Levi Edwards of the team’s website wrote. “The defense came away with six sacks and three takeaways. Even special teams turned things around after several miscues throughout the season. Dylan Laube and Alex Bachman combined for over 100 yards in kick and punt returns and AJ Cole booted four punts inside the 20-yard line.”
