NFL pass-rusher rankings ahead of Week 6

While the Micah Parsons retains his No. 1 spot after the Packers’ bye, Aidan Hutchinson is starting to make up ground ahead of Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season.

  • Aidan Hutchinson is back to his best: After a slow start by his standards, Hutchinson now leads the NFL in pressures.
  • Rookie Tyleik Williams is starting to come on strong: The 28th overall pick in this year’s draft earned a 76.3 PFF pass-rush grade in Week 5, ranking second among Lions pass rushers.

NFL pass-rusher rankings ahead of Week 6

We know that quarterback is the most important position on the field, but a great pass rush is the ultimate equalizer. Pressure disrupts timing, rhythm and accuracy, something only the elite quarterbacks can consistently overcome.

Last season, 13 of the top 15 teams in PFF pass-rush grade had a winning record. In 2023, 15 of the top 16 teams in PFF pass-rush grade had a winning record. A dominant pass-rush is undeniably crucial to a team’s success over the course of the season.

Each week, after every NFL game is graded and reviewed, PFF will check in on the top pass rushers of the 2025 season. These rankings will drastically change early in the campaign, as one sack, hit or pressure can dramatically alter a player’s grade when the sample size is small. But as snap counts rise, the grades will stabilize and we’ll get a clearer picture of the league’s best pass rushers.

Here are the top 32 pass rushers for the 2025 season after Week 5. For more grades and statistics on the league’s best pass-rushers, check out PFF Premium Stats.

Week 5 Highlights

Best Pass Rusher: Trey Hendrickson, Cincinnati Bengals

Hendrickson’s 92.7 PFF pass-rushing grade in Week 5 was the highest mark in the NFL. Hendrickson, who tied Myles Garrett for the league lead in pressures last season (81), sacked Lions quarterback Jared Goff twice. He paces the NFL in sacks (39) since the start of the 2023 season.

Most Total Pressures: Aidan Hutchinson, Detroit Lions

Hutchinson’s eight pressures in Week 5 led the league, his third straight game with at least seven pressures. The former first-round pick out of Michigan was on a record pace last season before suffering a season-ending injury in Week 6, generating 45 pressures across just 198 pass-rushing snaps.

Highest Win Rate: Samson Ebukam, Indianapolis Colts

Ebukam, who missed the entire 2024 season while recovering from a torn Achilles, had his best game since Week 15 of the 2023 campaign. His 42.9% pass-rush win rate against the Raiders made him the only player to top 40.0% in Week 5.

Best Rookie Pass Rusher: Tyleik Williams, Detroit Lions

Williams was part of a dominant Lions pass rush that generated 28 pressures against the Bengals in Week 5. The 28th overall pick in this year’s draft ranked second on the team, behind Aidan Hutchinson, in PFF pass-rush grade (76.3 across 13 pass-rushing snaps).

Season Highlights

Best Pass Rusher: Micah Parsons, Green Bay Packers

Parsons and the Packers enjoyed an early Week 5 bye, but the start to his career in Green Bay couldn’t be going any better. His 93.4 PFF pass-rushing grade is the NFL’s top mark. Next up for Parsons is a struggling Cincinnati Bengals offense that ranks 29th in PFF pass-blocking grade (44.0).

Most Total Pressures: Aidan Hutchinson, Detroit Lions

After a slow start to the season by his standards (two pressures), Hutchinson has been the league’s most productive pass rusher, generating 29 pressures and five sacks over the past four games. He is the only player with at least 30 pressures through Week 5 and has shown no rust since coming back from a devastating leg injury that caused him to miss the final 12 games of last season.

Highest Win Rate: Will Anderson Jr., Houston Texans

Anderson has developed into a very good to elite pass rusher in his third season with the Houston Texans. His 32.0% pass-rush win rate leads the NFL — and he is the only player above 30.0%.

Best Rookie Pass Rusher: Abdul Carter, New York Giants

Carter is in a tier of his own when it comes to rookie pass-rushing production through the first five weeks of the season. The No. 3 overall pick in this year’s draft leads all rookies with at least 50 pass-rushing snaps in PFF pass-rush grade (82.4), total pressures (22) and win rate (13.9%).
